The Law of Attraction

Be Open to Understanding It!

The Law of Attraction has attracted its recent attention in a big way due to "The Secret" DVD that was orchestrated by little known Australian author Rhonda Byrne.

Understanding the Law of Attraction will likely cause a tremendous shift in the way you approach your life. Whether it is to:

Or simply to experience abundance as you desire it.

Prosperity gurus over the ages have taught us that success (or lack thereof) is governed by various universal laws.

Universal meaning they work for everyone, whether you agree with them or not.

Universal meaning they work all the time, whether you are conscious of them or not.

Universal also meaning that they work whether you understand them or not.

Simply put, the law of attraction states that we attract into our experience that which, or that which is like what we are thinking about.

In other words, that which you really really want, you will get. As well, that which you really really DON'T WANT, you will also get.

This is a simple definition, but why complicate an otherwise simple concept really?

Of course, The Law of Attraction, (sometimes referred to as LOA) as a concept is neither new nor secret. Different personal development teachers have used different words to help others understand it.

Regardless, once you totally "get it" and are able to consciously put it to work for yourself, it will no longer seem so secretive.

Needless to say, it is one thing to learn how something works, yet another to put it to work. You MUST continue to TAKE ACTION as you consciously apply the Law of Attraction.

The key to remember is that using the law of attraction does not replace taking action. It complements it.

Many smart people amazingly don't "get" the Law of Attraction concept. But then again, many of us have been subconsciously conditioned over time that in order for something to be worthwhile, it must be complicated.

The Law of Attraction is a very very simple concept to perceive, and it is even simpler to put it to work purposefully. Because, whether we understand it or not, this universal law is ALWAYS working in our lives.

The difference is that when you understand it and realize how simple it is to consciously use it, then you are able to drive your thoughts so that they are aligned with that which you are taking action to achieve, not the opposite of it.

You have been taking action and getting frustrated with the results. Or maybe it seems that you take a few steps forward and a few more backwards. Consider that you may be focusing on what you don't want, instead of what you do want.

The Law of Attraction, whether you disagree with it or not, will work for you. Whether you apply it in ignorance or with deliberate intent, it is impartial.

Think of it this way. You need to drive from point A to point B. Do you keep thinking, "I don't want To Not leave point A"?I'll bet you think, "I want to get to point B".

So, you get in your car, let up on the breaks, crank up the accelerator. You then keep moving to your destination.

More likely than NOT, you have always arrived at your intended destination. This is because your focus was on Point B.

If you had kept your focus on Point A, even as you drove toward point B, do you see how that is backward thinking?

If thinking "Point A" meant that your car automatically backs you up to point A, regardless of how far you have driven toward point B, would you do it? Makes no sense right?

So then, if your goal is to be healthy, or to weigh X lbs, you MUST keep your focus on what you do want. If you keep it on "I don't want to gain weight", your focus then is "to gain weight".

Similarly, if you think, "I do not want to be broke". Your focus is on "to be broke". You must think, "I want abundance".

Sounds simple right? So how come it isn't as simple when we attempt to apply it in our daily lives?

Do you have absolute belief of what you are attempting?

Back to our driving a car analogy, when you get in your car, and have an intention to drive to point B, do you not have absolute belief you will get to point B?

Are you normally filled with doubt? Are you thinking of all the possibilities why you might not get to Point B?

In light of the above, if you are one of those people who likes to feel Personal Power in directing your life, then conscious living in accordance with this universal law will feel extremely empowering. And why not you?

Why not consciously create abundance in your life?
