Is Abundance Your Right?

Abundance.............. what images does it bring to your mind when you think of that word?

Do you immediately think of fullness to overflowing?

Or do you think of lack and limitation?

What about those people who seem to just somehow manage to effortlessly have it all?

Does luck have much to do with prosperity?

Do they know something that the rest of the masses don't?

Perhaps what they do know is that the mind is the most powerful ally to help in manifesting their desires?

Abundance is a mind set. A very simple yet very complex concept. A paradox of sorts.

However, there is only one way to judge if we have abundant-focused mindset in our lives.

Results!

The results in our lives are the only indicator of how we have treated the unbreakable universal law of sowing and reaping.

Be it in our finances, love and intimate relationships, spiritual, friendships, health or any other area in which growth is sought.

"The happiest people in the world are those who feel absolutely terrific about themselves, and this is the natural outgrowth of accepting total responsibility for every part of their life"

    ~ Brian Tracy

Why is "abundance" so elusive?

Charles Fillmore, author of the turn of the 1900's classics such as "Prosperity" shocked the religious world of his day when he said, "It is a sin to be poor".

Of course, the original meaning of the word "sin" is not the four-letter word we have come to associate it in today's world. It means, "To miss the mark".

Metaphysical guru Catherine Ponder, in her book "The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity",writes that:

".....you are prosperous to the degree that you are experiencing peace, health and plenty in your world"

Many personal development students get hung up on the issue of money as a sign of prosperity.

They might even believe it is not noble to desire money.

These limitation mentalities, some so deep seated in our subconcious we don't even recognize them, have caused many a naïve people to manifest that which served them the least.

Russell H. Conwell, in his famous book "Acres of Diamonds" emphasized thus:

" I say you ought to be rich; you have no right to be poor. To live and not be rich is a misfortune because you could have been rich just as well as being poor......We ought to get rich if we can by honorable methods, and these are the only methods that sweep us quickly toward the goal of riches"

One of the greatest tools to help us in starting to have a more positive attitude toward abundance are prosperity affirmations. To understand what affirmations are, read about it in our page about positive affirmations. You can learn to use words of affirmation for overall abundance, spirituality, or even self esteem.

The Law of abundance tells us that manifesting prosperity is in our control. Famed abundance author Wallace Wattles, in his book The Science of Getting Rich, in his famous gratitude quotes, reminds us that "the law of gratitude is the natural principle that action and reaction are always equal, and in opposite directions."

That there is no "out there", that we are part of "it". The "it" has been given different names in an attempt for us humans to make sense of "it".

Some people call "it" God,others call "it" universe, higher power, Spirit, higher self etc. The names are as many as the groups seeking to identify "it".

Regardless, this law reminds us that the substance that causes everything in the universe to manifest is all around us. We are "it". "It" is us.

"The world is filled with an abundance of opportunity which the dreamers of the past never knew"-- Napoleon Hill
